Teemataiteen lokakuun haaste on YLLÄTYS. ”Tarkoitus on nyt kokeilla uutta tekniikkaa, mennä oman mukavuusalueen ulkopuolelle ja yllättyä itsekin. Tai tapa voi olla tuttu, mutta aihe yllättävä, myös kaikki muu tulkinta on taas sallittua. Luovuus ja rajojen ylittäminen on nyt vapaata.”

Päätin yllättää itseni (ja ehkä katsojatkin) piirtämällä eläimiä. Todella haastavaa, ei helppoa laisinkaan. Piirtämiseen käytin Harmony-ohjelmaa, kehykset tein Tuxpilla.

 

 

ThemeArtBlog’s challenge for Ocober is SURPRISE. You can surprise yourself with a new technique, go outside your comfort zone or do something you’ve never done before.
I decided to surprise myself (and maybe others as well) by drawing animals. Really challenging and oh, so difficult. I used Harmony to draw, frames are done with Tuxpi.

 

 

 

 

Runo 2/6 Poem

 

My friend and co-blogger Riitta translated my poem into English. This poem is the inspiration for ThemeArtBlog in September.

Grasp the disappearing summer with both hands  before the sunshine fades behind the houses,  
before the forest falls asleep in the twilight.  

Open the window, feel the cooling wind,  
let the light still linger on the floor, 
dance with the shadows until darkness covers the room.  

Delay the exit of summer, 
taste an apple ripened in August,  
feel on the tongue a wistful farewell. 

Collect memories, live now,  
pick the crop and 
store all the good you need for the winter. 

Say goodbye to butterflies,  
welcome the red of rowans,  
the orange glow of winter cherries.  

Collect the fall rain in your hands,  
bathe in the glittering moonlight,  
fall asleep with a smile on your lips.  

See the glow of past summer in the incipient fall colors,  
preserve warm and hopeful light in your heart,  
light the first candle for the fall.
