Päivä 19 / Day 19
When you have a canvas in the shape of rectangle, you have to hold your horses not to paint a face with Modigliani’s neck. So I turned the canvas horizontal to get rid of that urge and desire to stretch and stretch that thin body part holding up the head.
This painting is called Abyss, and it’s made with acrylics. I link it to PPF and the detail above is my nineteenth face in 29faces.
***
Kun tarjolla on suorakaiteen muotoinen maalauspohja, niin iskee hillitön halu maalata pitkäkaulainen nainen Modiglianin tapaan. Etten olisi sortunuti siihen, käänsin maalauspohjan vaakatasoon.
Työn nimeksi tuli Syvyys ja se on maalattu akryyleillä.
10 x 20 cm
I love this mysterious face in blue, wow! When my daughter was small, she used to paint a small figure in the middle of the page, and then make a long neck and legs so that it reached top and bottom! Have a nice weekend, Valerie
Children are marvelous artists, they create what they see and feel, no boundaries, Valerie!
love this the texture is beautiful, Despite b eing in the deep she looks so calm.!
She maybe enjoys the depths, Sharon.
Another lovely face! You amaze me with how you can make them all in such different styles! I’m just slightly jealous!
No need to be jealous, Robin, my various styles just tell that I haven’t yet found my own style 😦
Love the color and wonderful texture…she has a rather mysterious look to her!
Hugs Giggles
Thank you, Giggles!
Just nappi nimi teokselle, syvyyttä löytyy niin kasvoissa kuin värimaailmassa.
Kiitos, BLOGitse.
Passeli nimi on työlläsi.
Syvälle on helppo vajota, Kiiris.
To me she looks like a mermaid with seaweed in her hair, floating around and enjoying the calm 🙂
You might be right with that, Denthe!
Denise nailed it – very ocean like background. Love the color and all that terrific texture.
Ocean it shall be, Gina!
She reminds me of Ophelia..mysterious, beautiful sad.
Beth, thank you.
The way she tilts her head? I feel like my old clothes and worn shoes are under scrutiny, Susu! : O
Does she look so stern, Mick!!
Kaunis sininen väri,ehkäpä se antaa syvyyttä ajatuksille.
Värit vaikuttavat niin monella tavalla meihin, Sirkka.
Beauty in Blue. Love the style. Blessings, Janet PPF
