Keskiäkäinen tekee juhannustaikoja / Middle Morbid And Midsummer Magic
The lady in the image is called Middle Morbid, she’s maybe middle aged, but her name tells more about the moods she’s usually in. I made of book of her almost five years ago, but have been drawing cards all these years about her wisdom and experiences of life.
It’s Midsummer in Finland and midsummer magics are made. In one traditional magic an unmarried woman collects seven different flowers and places them under her pillow to dream of her future lover. So did Middle Morbid, but she didn’t know she was allergic to these wild flowers and got a terrible rash! The text in the card freely translated:
Midsummer magic under the pillow.
Damn this rash from the willow.
Eyes are swollen, turning red.
Running nose. Itching in the bed.
Magic worked, yes indeed!
Paramedic! Oh, so sweet!
Happy PPF and be careful when working on your spells!
